Connect Media Solutions is a growing technology company providing Managed IT Services (MSP), Audio Visual (AV) solutions, networking, cybersecurity, and technology consulting to businesses, churches, schools, and nonprofit organizations throughout Northwest Oklahoma.

We’re looking for a dependable and motivated Field Service Technician to provide on-site technical support, installations, and maintenance for our customers. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with technology, solving problems, and delivering excellent customer service.

Position Summary

The Field Service Technician performs on-site service calls, installs new equipment, troubleshoots technology issues, and assists with IT and AV projects. This position works independently and with other technicians to ensure customers receive timely, professional service.

This is a hands-on role with opportunities to learn new technologies and grow into a full-time position as the company expands.

Responsibilities

Managed IT Services

• Install and replace desktop and laptop computers
• Configure Windows workstations
• Install monitors, docks, and peripherals
• Install and configure printers and scanners
• Deploy and troubleshoot wireless access points
• Install and replace network switches and routers
• Install UPS systems and network equipment
• Perform basic workstation troubleshooting
• Install software and updates
• Document completed work and update service tickets

Audio Visual Services

• Install televisions and wall mounts
• Install projectors and projection screens
• Mount speakers and microphones
• Install conference room AV systems
• Assist with church audio and video installations
• Pull and terminate low-voltage cabling
• Assemble and wire equipment racks
• Test and troubleshoot AV equipment

General Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service
• Maintain company tools and equipment
• Keep accurate documentation and job notes
• Follow company installation standards
• Maintain a clean and organized work vehicle and job site
• Work with the technical team to resolve customer issues
• Participate in training and professional development

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Basic computer and networking knowledge
• Excellent troubleshooting skills
• Strong communication and customer service abilities
• Ability to work independently
• Professional appearance and attitude
• Strong attention to detail

Preferred Experience

Experience with any of the following is a plus:

• Windows 10/11
• Microsoft 365
• Ubiquiti UniFi
• Structured cabling (CAT5e/CAT6)
• Fiber optic cabling
• Wireless networking
• Commercial AV systems
• Church technology
• Security cameras
• Network video recorders (NVRs)
• PTZ cameras
• Video conferencing systems
• Basic server hardware
• Low-voltage electrical work

Physical Requirements

• Lift up to 75 pounds
• Climb ladders
• Work in ceilings, attics, and crawl spaces
• Safely use power tools and ladders
• Stand, kneel, bend, and work on job sites for extended periods

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Reliable transportation
• Ability to pass a background check
• Willingness to travel throughout Northwest Oklahoma
• Ability to work occasional evenings or weekends when projects require
