We’re looking for a dependable and customer-focused IT Helpdesk Technician who enjoys solving technical problems, helping customers, and working with a wide variety of technologies.

Position Summary

The IT Helpdesk Technician provides remote and occasional on-site technical support to managed service clients. This role is responsible for troubleshooting hardware, software, networking, and Microsoft 365 issues while ensuring excellent customer service and timely issue resolution.

This position is ideal for someone looking to build a long-term career in managed IT services while gaining experience with modern business technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to support requests by phone, email, remote support, and ticketing system
  • Troubleshoot Windows and macOS computers
  • Install and configure desktop and laptop computers
  • Configure Microsoft 365 accounts and applications
  • Install software, updates, and security patches
  • Troubleshoot printers, scanners, and peripheral devices
  • Diagnose basic wired and wireless network issues
  • Assist with password resets and user account management
  • Document all work performed in the ticketing system
  • Escalate advanced issues to senior technicians
  • Provide occasional on-site support for customers
  • Deliver excellent customer service while maintaining professionalism
  • Participate in ongoing technical training

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience providing technical support
  • Knowledge of Windows 10/11 and Microsoft 365
  • Basic networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN)
  • Experience using remote support software
  • Familiarity with ticketing systems
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Certifications

  • CompTIA A+
  • CompTIA Network+
  • Microsoft Fundamentals Certifications
  • Experience with NinjaOne or similar RMM platforms
  • Experience supporting small business environments

Physical Requirements

  • Lift up to 50 pounds
  • Travel to customer locations as needed
  • Operate company tools and equipment safely
  • Sit or stand for extended periods while providing technical support
